Baby Fish Care

This is a real live baby fish.  Your new baby will need extre tender care.  Please read all instructions carefully.

Baby in a Bottle doen not require heaters or filters.  Keep your baby fish away from direct sunlight and cold drafts.  Do not leave your baby fish inside your car on hot or cold days.  Only one baby fish per bottle as betta fish will kill each other if placed together.

Feed your baby a couple of granules of baby fish food once a day.  Don't worry if you miss a day or two, this will not harm the baby.  Be very careful not to over feed.  Over feeding will cause the water to be polluted and this can make your baby fish sick or even die.  As your baby fish grows you may want to transfer them to a larger fishbowl or vase.

Clean the baby bottle once a week.  To do this, place your baby into another container.  Rinse the bottle with cold water, wipe the inside with a paper towel and rinse again in cold water.Do not use cleaning products or detergents on the bottle.  Doing so may cause injury or kill your baby fish.  Fill the bottle 3/4 full with dechlorinated water.  Don't fill the bottle to the top, leave about an inch or two for air.  You can use room temperature bottle water or tap water that is left out uncovered for 24-48 hours.  Make sure the new water is the same tempurature as the old water.  Placing your baby fish in water that is either a little cooler or warmer can stress your baby into shock.  We recommend using a water conditioner sold at most pet stores.
